How does the virus spread and how does it affect people?

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 as a pandemic on 12th March 2020. This was due to the increase in the number of cases reported around the world. Malaysia announces movement control order after spike in Covid-19 cases.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the prohibition of movement and mass assembly nationwide would include all religious, sports, social and cultural activities.

The government is also shutting down all government and private premises except those involved in essential services namely water, electricity, energy, telecommunications, postal, transportation, irrigation, oil, gas, fuel, lubricants, broadcasting, finance, banking, health, pharmacy, fire, prison, port, airport, safety, defense, cleaning, retail and food supply.

Everyone in Malaysia must comply with the order including MECIP. If we all stick together, help each other and act rationally, we will come out of this stronger and more united.
