Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO Wilayah Timur

MECIP has been appointed as the Engineering Consultant for Civil & Structural (C&S) and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering for the development of Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO Wilayah Timur, a landmark healthcare and rehabilitation facility designed to provide comprehensive rehabilitation, medical, and recovery services for insured persons in Malaysia’s East Coast region.

The project encompasses multidisciplinary engineering consultancy services covering the planning, detailed engineering design, technical coordination, and integration of all Civil & Structural and Mechanical & Electrical systems to support the development of a modern, sustainable, and patient-centric rehabilitation complex. MECIP is responsible for ensuring that all engineering systems are designed to achieve high standards of functionality, safety, operational efficiency, maintainability, and long-term reliability.

The Civil & Structural engineering scope includes site development, structural engineering design, foundations, reinforced concrete and structural steel works, drainage systems, roadworks, utility infrastructure, and external works. The Mechanical & Electrical engineering scope comprises HVAC systems, electrical power distribution, lighting, standby power systems, plumbing and sanitary systems, fire protection systems, medical support services, vertical transportation, communications, security systems, and other essential building services.

Throughout the project, MECIP is working closely with Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO), architects, and other stakeholders to deliver coordinated engineering solutions that comply with applicable Malaysian codes, regulatory requirements, sustainability objectives, and healthcare facility standards. The integrated engineering approach ensures optimal building performance, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, operational resilience, and future-ready infrastructure.

Upon completion, Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO Wilayah Timur will become a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre that enhances healthcare accessibility and supports Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO)‘s commitment to delivering world-class rehabilitation and recovery services. This project further demonstrates MECIP’s capabilities in delivering complex multidisciplinary engineering consultancy services for large-scale institutional, healthcare, and public infrastructure developments.
